It's okay that's only focusing on Orian...it sort of gives the photo a sense that he's having to make a descision as the doll behind him looks on expectantly. :D
Jeez, Orian's probably the best-looking obitsu I've seen so far...

O.O *blushes madly* r-really? I will be honest, I haven't seen a lot of good looking obitsus. Personally, I thought it was because people never really get them professionally done, and only purchase them to practice and stuff... or because they can't afford a more expensive doll... I'm still practicing with faceups, myself ;o;
I think the reason he looks nice is because of all the love I stuff inside him oAo

:aww: Your welcome! Most obitsus tend to look a little barbie-like, often with fake-looking faceups and regular barbie clothes, but you treat Orian like a regular BJD, so I see you get a creative streak. :nod:
I remember you telling me that you spend five hours on faceups, so I guess you're working pretty hard and you're already good at it. It looks really natural. :D

I noticed that about the obitsus, they do tend to look a little... what's the word... neglected. I do plan on having a resin doll soon enough. (I have my eye on migidoll Miho and a DZ Megi at the moment!) But Orian will always be special to me. XD

Yeah, neglected is what I've noticed too...especially if they're stuck with a bunch of prettied-up resin dolls...they just look so small and plain, and...shiny. Like a barbie. But Orian doesn't look shiny...what's he made out of, again?
I'm gonna start with resin. :nod: A puki or something...They're cheapest at $138 a pop. @_@ And that doesn't include hair, faceup, ect. ...but it's a start. And then if I get really into BJDs I'm going to try and get a Shiwoo from that site too...the Minifee one. It's the prettiest. :D

Oh yes, very shiny. Orian is made out of vinyl, and so, without the proper faceup, he can end up shiney. To prevent this, I normally do a few layers of blended-white chalk pastel and spray MSC between layers. It removes the chance for shiney cheeks, and gives his face and nice feel.

No. His body is mostly soft vinyl, so won't be shiny... but his head is harder, so, the material will be a bit shiny.
I do plan on giving him a full body blush this summer, fi my MSC lasts.

Cool! There's only about five and a half days of school left for me...I've got a lot of stuff I want to do, but my schedule has been crammed recently. So I'll have to wait till summer.
